A HireMan for Hire Men
Friday, September 26th, 2008Engineers from GenSet, a leading supplier of power generation to the UK hire industry, have been very busy during the summer period upgrading and enhancing their range of popular HireMan Generators.
As a result of this research, the new range of GenSet HireMan generators will now include such items as environmentally safe fully bunded bases, large access doors for easy servicing and cleaning, with external fuel manifolds for swift connection to complimentary fuel sources. GenSet are also fitting the revolutionary FuelActive fuel model, which ensures that only clean fuel is used, helping to reduce site breakdowns and power outages. For added security, a low-fuel shutdown system is built-in, which works towards ensuring that fuel contamination is kept to the very minimum.
Safety features, such as fully adjustable RCD’s, battery isolators and an immediate engine shutdown system should the canopy doors are unexpectedly opened, are all included within these new sets. Spark arrestors are fitted for use in sensitive situations, particularly where the risk of explosion is present.
GenSet believe that simplicity of operation and ease of use for lesser-experienced operators are important for both the rental firm and the end user. Therefore, each control module is fitted with a dual socket and hardwire configuration and all the controls are clearly marked and identified.
In the current climate swift transportation has become an economic necessity and as a consequence each of the new HireMan sets can be easily fitted to a road tow or site tow trailer. A central lifting eye, with forklift pockets, are included for safe lifting and moving.
With whisper-quiet operation and long run fuel tanks, Genset are confident that their new HireMan range should satisfy even the most discerning temporary power generation operator.
The new HireMan range is available from stock in the UK with a variety of units in a power band between 30 to 500kVA.
